TRANSPORTING YOUR CAKE
When transporting your cake home, make sure the air conditioner is on to keep the car cool in hot and warm weather. This is not essential on a cold and freezing day, however do not have the heating on in such weather conditions or have the cake directly next to heat sources.Cake should be placed on a flat surface, either at the foot well for small cakes (be mindful of having feet directed heat on) or an empty boot. Do not place the cake on a seat or on someone's lap as this could cause the cake to topple over. Please ensure to drive carefully especially over speed bumps as THE CAKE CONSORTIUM will no longer be held responsible once your cakes or desserts leave our premises.
STORAGE INSTRUCTIONS
- Please transfer your cake into the fridge as soon as possible. Decorations such as cake toppers (if supplied separately) should be kept at room temperature.
- For maximum flavour and a soft, moist texture, we recommend removing the cake 60 to 90 minutes in advance (subject to room temperature). If your cake sponge still appears hard, this means that it hasn’t reached normal room temperature, so just leave it out for a little longer.
- Remove all inedible decorative items/cake props, including support dowels prior to consumption
- Consume within 4-5 Days.
